Saamis Teepee

The World's Tallest Teepee is located in Medicine Hat and was originally designed and created for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary as a symbol of Aboriginal Heritage. The Teepee is over 20 stories high and can withstand extreme wind speeds (up to 240km/h) and extreme temperatures.

The Esplanade

The Esplanade is a cultural center located in downtown Medicine Hat. The facility has an arts theater, art gallery, museum, city archvies, gift shop and a cafe.

Historic Clay District

The Medicine Hat Clay Industries National History District, or better known as The History Clay District, is a museum that has exhibits and collections from Medicine Hat's past. The Medalta Potteries and Hycroft China Factory Complexes encompass a 150 acre area and is nationally recognized and once produced over 75% of the pottery in Canada.

Military...

Medicine Hat is the home to the South Alberta Light Horse, or SALH for short, which is an army reserve unit. The SALH has a long history of over 100 years in length and took part in the North-West Rebellion. It has participated in both the First and Second World Wars, and currently has members serving in Afghanistan.

The Canadian Forces Base (Suffield) is located west of the city in the town of Suffield.
